Training
Training is part of the purchase.
A CO₂ laser is only as good as the team using it. Every Alexa placement includes onboarding, clinical training, protocol guidance and ongoing support.
The program
From onboarding to your first patients.
- 01
Device onboarding
Installation and a walkthrough of the articulated arm, scanner and handpieces, the touchscreen, start-up and shut-down procedures, and optical-path care.
- 02
Clinical education
The physics of 10,600 nm CO₂, the balance between ablation and coagulation, and the difference between fractional and ablative delivery.
- 03
The intensity ladder
How depth, density, power, dwell and passes combine into Shallow, Deep and Hybrid strategies — and when to step up or down a rung.
- 04
Skin-type planning
Why ablative CO₂ is planned more conservatively as melanin increases, and how to reduce the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
- 05
Technique and endpoints
Skin preparation, zoning, scan placement, overlap, residual-heat management, and recognizing the intended endpoint — and the signs of overtreatment.
- 06
Laser safety
Wavelength-matched eyewear for everyone in the room, plume evacuation, fire-risk control and treatment-area controls for a Class 4 laser.
- 07
Hands-on training
Hands-on sessions where applicable. Format, location and scheduling are planned with your team.
- 08
Protocol guidance
Protocols for the categories you launch — resurfacing, scars, Alexa Femme™ or Alexa Follicle™ — matched to your configuration and scope of practice.
- 09
Ongoing support
Clinical questions after your first cases, protocol updates, and technical and service support from Pro 1 Laser.
The principle
Capability is not permission.
The device permits more output than most indications require. Training defines the correct working range and the hard limits.
The goal is never the most aggressive pass. It is the lowest effective combination of depth and density that reaches the intended endpoint, with a recovery the patient consented to. CO₂ is ablative: recovery is expected, planned and explained — never dismissed.
Safety
A room prepared for a Class 4 laser.
Eye protection
CO₂-rated eyewear for everyone in the room, and appropriate patient protection.
Plume evacuation
Evacuation running throughout vaporization.
Fire risk
Control of flammable materials and oxygen in the treatment area.
Area controls
Signage, controlled access and the device’s safety interlock.
Is training included in the price?
Yes. Pro 1 Laser supports every Alexa placement with onboarding, clinical training, protocol guidance and ongoing support. The exact scope is confirmed on your quotation.
Is a certificate provided?
Certificate or attestation details are confirmed with the Pro 1 Laser team when your training is scheduled.
Who can operate Alexa CO₂?
The device is intended for trained, licensed medical professionals. Each application must fit the provider’s scope of practice and provincial regulations.
Are treatment settings provided?
Settings are taught in clinical training against verified protocols, not published on this site. The endpoint and the patient’s healing capacity always govern the plan.
